What's New in Segment: Smarter Picklists, Fewer Errors, Automated Data Cleanup
We’re excited to announce an enhancement to DESelect Segment that makes data management even more seamless.
DESelect Segment Picklists
Picklists have always been a highly valued feature in DESelect Segment. Out of the box, Marketing Cloud Engagement does not provide functionality to know which values exist for a field in your data. Good luck knowing exactly which product codes, zip codes, or country codes to use… This leads to errors where, due to typos or incorrect values, segmentation results are not as intended.
Your automatically refreshed picklists can now remove values no longer present in a field within your data extension, keeping your segmentation accurate and your workflows error-free.
Here’s what’s new:
- Automatic cleanup: Every 24 hours, DESelect Segment scans your data extension and updates picklists with current field values
- Smarter syncing: A new toggle in the picklist settings allows automatic removal of obsolete values, ensuring precision without manual maintenance
This feature is enabled by default for new picklists, while existing picklists retain their current settings to preserve any manually added or custom values.
